Behavioral Economics

Forty years ago James Heyman worked as busboy and is now an Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of St. Thomas – a career path that makes sense only to him. Along the way, he collected a B.A. in Economics, a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics, and a PhD in Marketing. His main work goal is to help people solve their problems and this pervades his approach to teaching, consulting, and research that focuses on understanding what people are trying to accomplish in the first place.  As he says, “Understand the why and the how becomes easy.”
