Diana DuBois, Executive Director
WellShare International

Diana DuBois is the Executive Director of WellShare International, 2000 to present.  She holds a joint Master’s degree in Public Health and International Affairs from Columbia University and has spent over 20 years working in the public health field, including five years in sub-Saharan Africa. 

As Executive Director, Diana has overseen a significant increase in WellShare’s international and domestic portfolio. She was also instrumental in expanding WellShare’s health staff from one to twenty staff members at the HQ office.   She is an experienced manager of refugee health and development programs and has served as Country Co-Director for the International Rescue Committee in Ghana, West Africa.  She also worked with Helen Keller International for three years in New York City, where her work included extensive travel and the provision of technical assistance to local nonprofits in Africa.

Ms. DuBois currently serves on numerous task forces including the University of Minnesota Community Health Advisory Council, MVNA’s ‘Healthy Communities,’ and Medtronic’s Country Advisory Committee (HealthRise Program).  Her main areas of interest include promoting the community health worker model, increasing access to maternal and child health and reproductive health services, reducing health disparities, advancing health equity, and creating successful community-based health programs.
