Lid Project over Highway 100

The City of Edina is in the early stages of the Grandview Green project. This project aims to develop a green lid (2-3 acre park) over Highway 100 near the Vernon and Eden bridges. This is an exciting project which is serving as a case study for the city, MnDOT, Hennepin County and Met Council and laying the groundwork for how we develop highway lids in Minnesota.  We are also working to uncover what purpose the lid could serve in connecting neighborhoods, enhancing bicycle and pedestrian routes, increasing sustainability practices and enhancing the economic productivity of the land and airspace surrounding highway systems.

The initial concept will be presented as well as an opportunity to provide thoughts/ feedback at this early stage in the process!
