MEETING AT HIGHLANDS SKI CHALET

 

 

 

Great weekly meeting on May 17 at the Highlands Ski Chalet. It started with Jim Warner presenting Shelia Carrington with a Paul Harris Fellow. Shelia and her husband are moving to San Francisco so her generosity and Rotary support was honored. Our presenter, Megan Welty, showed a piece of adaptive ski equipment that was donated by Rotary. She explained this ski program of Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute. Julie and Dave Madison were the hosts as they both participate in ski programs at Highland - Julie helps make sure that when school groups come that every student can participate; Dave helps with the downhill racing program. Rotarians and guests walked through the recent facility improvements at this local Three Rivers Park.  It was suggested that this venue might be a good place for a future Rotary Veterans Day event!!!
