Club member, Ted Fields, undertakes a major effort each year: providing warm hats, mittens, and gloves for children -- and we are talking by the thousands! He seeks out donations (many local Rotary clubs participate) and then distributes the items through dozens of volunteers who work with organizations and charities to get them into the hands of the less fortunate.

This picture (click on the pic to view a larger image) was sent with a thank you from LINC Twin Cities specifically for the ladies of the Edina Senior Center who had personally used their gifts and talents of knitting to help children stay warm and healthy this winter.  They wrote, "It is with a grateful heart that I write to you today to thank you for all the beautiful hats, mittens, scarves, and bootees.  These snuggly, warm knit items will be put to good use by the children of Central Lutheran School in north St. Paul.  The school often has children that come without these items as their families cannot afford to buy them."

Good work Ted -- and thanks to those who contribute and distribute to make warm hearts!
