The February speaker will be Sophia Pham.
Sophia joined Edina Morningside Rotary Club in March of 2023, with Don Archibeque as her sponspor. For nearly 20 years, Sophia has helped homeowners and investors build wealth through real estate ownership. Recently, she expanded her business into building a nationwide life insurance agency, combining great financial strategies with great relationships to optimize middle-America’s assets, minimize middle-America’s taxes, and empower their true wealth.
As a testament to the American dream, Sophia Thu Pham and her family immigrated to the United States from Vietnam in 1979, becoming proud US citizens. With 20 years of professional real estate expertise, her journey began even earlier as she assisted her father in procuring real estate investment properties before becoming a licensed agent. Throughout her career, she has represented builders, specialized in new construction, and collaborated with both local and national investors to secure off-market opportunities for their portfolios. Sophia’s true passion lies in being a part of the solution for affordable housing and doing her part to put an end to the epidemic of loneliness by redesigning and repurposing existing properties to offer more options in the marketplace for multigenerational and community living. She holds a BA in Economics with minors in Political Science and Statistics from the University of Minnesota (2008). Beyond real estate, Sophia goes out into nature to recharge and loves conquering the hiking trails of both state and national parks, with the trails of Sedona, Arizona, being her favorite.
Cost to attend is a $10.00 food/$20 for food and beverages.

Matterbox Madness Event at the Mall of America, March, 7th
MATTERbox Madness brings teams of employees together from some of Minnesota’s most generous companies to participate in a bracket-style competition to see which team can assemble MATTERbox snack packs in the shortest amount of time.
Each snack pack contains a delicious protein, a healthy carbohydrate, and a tasty fruit – everything a child needs for a healthy boost of energy in their day. Also included is an educational nutrition goal card and a handwritten You MATTER note of encouragement.
District Governor Jewelie Grape challenged every club in the district to participate in a book drive during the month of January. EMRC did just that. We collected 70 books for preschoolers in multiple languages. They were donated to the non-profit, Reach Out and Read. A great way to start 2024!
Thank you, Service Committee, for organizing this!

Rotary strives for the fair treatment and advancement of all Rotary participants. Embracing equity means carefully considering how to provide differing levels of support, opportunities, and resources so participants have a welcoming and productive experience.
When we embrace equity, we create an environment built on respect and dignity for all participants.
