Sean recruits volunteers from faith and corporate communitiies. Then he coordinates all of those volunteers, their schedules, and locations. One such partnership is called EpiscoBuilders. This is a group of volunteers from St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and the surrounding community. They volunteer their time at homes being readied for their new owners/occupants.
EMRC member Jeremy Newhouse, Chief of Financial Strategy & Africa Projects, spends part of the year with his family in Zimbabwe. You can see what they are doing in the upcoming online event.
Edina Give and Go is one of Edina Morningside Rotary Club's local grant recipients. Attending their anniversary celebration, on April 12th at Pinstripes, would be a great, and fun way, to continue our support.
Jim Bizal will be making a second mission trip to San Pedro Belize this year with his son, Zach, and few of Zach's college friends. They are going to complete the church/commmunity center for the Holy Cross Anglican School. Jim would love to have more volunteers for this trip.

I'm happy to announce our first-ever joint Rotarian/Global Scholar service trip to Zimbabwe in 2025!
The trip will run from March 25 - April 8, 2025 (without travel time).
Approximately 15 Rotarians will join 15 Edina High School Global Scholars or Interact members on a two week adventure full of exploring, service and learning. Students will be completing their capstone research project while in the country and Rotarians can serve as mentors or just be along for the amazing experience. Traveling with teenagers can be such a rewarding experience and I personally love it. While an Edina administrator and I will serve as the dedicated chaperones for students, please be prepared to travel with teenagers :). If you want to know what that's like, I have lots of stories!
The two weeks will be spent volunteering at Bulawayo Hospital (recipient of one of our club's 2022 international grants), building classrooms at a secondary school, exploring National Parks, and visiting one of our world's seven natural wonders - Victoria Falls. Accommodations will be single- or double-occupancy hotel rooms, and we will travel together as a group from Minneapolis to Africa.
Please see theZimbabwe Info Flyerfor more information and a rough itinerary.

Rotary strives for the fair treatment and advancement of all Rotary participants. Embracing equity means carefully considering how to provide differing levels of support, opportunities, and resources so participants have a welcoming and productive experience.
When we embrace equity, we create an environment built on respect and dignity for all participants.
Watch for more to come in the coming weeks on this topic!
