Edina Morningside Rotary Club of Edina Local Grants Fair 2024
Our upcoming March 5th meeting is a celebration of our Local Grant partners. Joining us will be representatives from each of these 13 organizations. The first part of the meeting will consist of each organization briefly describing how they serve the needs of our community. The second part of the meeting will be an opportunity for Club members to meet with the individuals from each organization. As part of our Club's support for Local Grant partners, please consider the possibility of also making a personal donation to your favorite organizations.
Thank you to everyone who nominated an organization and thank you to everyone who participated in the voting process.
Most important, thank you to everyone for your financial support of the Edina Morningside Rotary Club Foundation, which makes these grants possible. Submitted by Brad Johnson

Hi Afira and AnneMarie, thanks again for coordinating the team and project for Saturday. Please forward this thank you on to those who served at Bridging! We’ll be posting a thank you on social media this week as well(@bridgingmn). College picture attached. Best, Diana
Dear Afira and the Edina Morningside Rotary Club,
THANK YOU for volunteering at Bridging-Bloomington on Saturday! We are very grateful for your donation of new kitchen packs and time spent assembling dressers. Because of partners like you, we are able to provide a dignified shopping experience to nearly 120 households every week.
“Our house is lively and comforting.” The beds and the couch affect their day to day. I see more happiness in my kids. They say our home feels ‘super nice and happy.’ The beds make such a big difference for sleep. That provides for the foundation to have a good quality of life. We needed that. …And the couch, I have a vision of us sitting on the couch together around the holidays watching the snow fall.” Stephanie, Client 2023
We are grateful for your help in making stories like Stephanie’s a reality every day. Thank you for sharing part of your day with us!
CAN YOU SPARE A QUICK 2 MINUTES? We’d love to hear more about your experience with Bridging. Please complete our very short group volunteer survey.
STAY CONNECTED: VOLUNTEER AGAIN…WE CAN’T DO IT WITHOUT YOU
Thank you for CONTINUING to help us fill thousands of homes with HOPE each year. Bridging could not accomplish its mission without the help of volunteers and partners like you!
Edina High School's Lindsey Smaka sent this announcement to Afira last week.
Good afternoon, Edina Morningside Rotarians,
I'm happy to announce our first-ever joint Rotarian/Global Scholar service trip to Zimbabwe in 2025!
The trip will run from March 25 - April 8, 2025 (without travel time).
Approximately 15 Rotarians will join 15 Edina High School Global Scholars or Interact members on a two week adventure full of exploring, service and learning. Students will be completing their capstone research project while in the country and Rotarians can serve as mentors or just be along for the amazing experience. Traveling with teenagers can be such a rewarding experience and I personally love it. While an Edina administrator and I will serve as the dedicated chaperones for students, please be prepared to travel with teenagers :).
