Planting Seasons
It’s a busy time in our local community; rice planting is happening! Our community has three primary crop seasons, potatoes, corn, and rice. The potato and corn planting seasons are variable, but rice planting is coordinated to line up with the start of the monsoon season, usually mid to late June for our community. This year has been drier than usual and the rain has been slow to arrive, but all is now in full motion.
